因为上学期我参加了少年志愿者团，所以今日，我接到“朝霞夕阳相映红”的活动通知，说午时要到干部新村一户老爷爷家里去慰问他。午时出门的时候，一轮太阳火辣辣地挂在天上，听天气预报说今日的最高气温是38度，虽然天气炎热，但我心想：这是一件很有意义的事情，我必须要去做。

到了老爷爷的家，一进门，一只全身黑乎乎的八哥朝我们大叫“大家好!”。老爷爷、老奶奶都很热情，老爷爷拿出了一副很大的象棋让我们下，老奶奶拿出了两大盆哈密瓜请我们吃。因为我象棋下得不是很好，只好坐在沙发上边吃哈密瓜，边看那些男同学下。下了几局棋之后，老爷爷带我们去看他们家刚才和我们打招呼的那只八哥，我很感兴趣，他给我们介绍：这只八哥他养了十年，老奶奶教它说“去买菜哟!”，所以每一天早上六点的时候，这只八哥便会大叫“去买菜哟!”，老奶奶便会放下手中的活，提着篮子去买菜。我心想
