　　today i am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. what is success? it is what everyone is longing for.sometimes success would be rather simple. winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now i am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.

　　however, as a person's whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i don’t think so. i believe success is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of them are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.

　　different people have different ideas about success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

　　people are like tea bags—you have to put them in hot water before you know how strong they are." i can still remember the words that dad said to me years ago.

　　when i was young, i used to be very naughty. life then was like a glaball ,shining with bright colours. i had once gone down to the river bank, catching a great many worms and was afterwards punished by mum. i had ever cut the pillow towel into pieces in order to make clothes for my dolls. similarly, i was then blamed seriously. once i even put the hot iron on the floor which immediately burnt a big hole on the carpet. although i had done so many annoying things, my childhood seemed to be rather colourful. however, i had never had a clear definition about myself. but then something happened. it had made a great difference to my life and made who i am now.

　　i had always been afraid of having the intravenous drop in hospital. the first time i was taken to have the drop, i cried for almost half an hour and finally gave off at father's severe scolding. watching the cold needle stabbing into my skin, i cried even more loudly. at that time, i never dared to take a glance at my hand and always needed my mother to stay with me at my side. even if mum had told me many times," honey, there’s nothing to be scared of. just close your eyes and sleep." i would still keep my eyes wide open, watching the liquid flow through the bottle and never slept.

　　nevertheless, things just happened in a casual way. when i caught a high fever again when young, mum had to send for the doctor home to treat me. i was so sick that i became quite drowsy and then slept. when i suddenly woke up in the afternoon, i found the liquid in the bottle had already flown over ,while mum and dad were not around. i yelled, but finally found it was of no use. so i jumped out of the bed and pulled up the tubule. in the nature of things, the blood came out and dropped along the way i went downstairs. things became different at the time i went down alone. i discovered that i could be independent. i was much stronger than i had thought. looking back on the girl who cried all day, i came to understand suddenly that the strong part of the inner myself had been existing all the time. seeing the anxious mum, i revealed a big smile to her. i could see that mum was trying to hold her tears back and scrubbed my blood on the hand. she didn't know that her little girl had stealthily grown up.

　　i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

　　five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

　　but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

　　in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

　　我演讲的主题是怎样提高自己的学习成绩，怎样提高学习的效率。这是我个人学习的一些经验，希望对同学们的学习能够有帮助。也希望同学们能够认真仔细的听，我想我在班上的学习成绩是还算不错的，所以我的经验也许会对你们有帮助。

　　提高学习成绩的第一点，就是上课要认真的听讲。为什么呢？可能有的同学会觉得这些知识那么的简单我下课自己学一下就能够学会。我想说这样的想法是错误的，如果我们自己能够通过自学学会所有的知识的话那就不需要老师了，也不需要学校了，我们自己在家里学不也是一样的吗？我也想问问同学们，你们在下课之后真的花了时间自己去学了吗？我想应该是没有的吧。

　　提高成绩的第二点，就是要学会合理的利用时间。我们每天的碎片时间是很多的，每一个课间的十分钟，午休之前的一段时间，以及晚自习之前的一段时间，如果都能够利用起来的话，我们每一天就能够多很多的时间学习了。可以做几个题目，或者背一个知识点，想怎么利用都行。当我们能够坚持每天都这样做的话，积累起来就能够多学到很多的知识了。

　　希望同学们都能够有属于自己的学习方法，提高自己的学习成绩，在高中阶段取得一个很好的成绩。谢谢大家！

　　夕阳的一缕余辉斜射在墙上，一切看上去是那么恬静，雪白的墙壁映出点点淡红，真美!

　　家中静静的，家人的心被爷爷的病情牵着，脸上笼着一丝愁云。

　　突然听到爷爷房中有轻微的响声，紧接着是穿鞋下地的声音。我忙跑进房里，是爷爷!都几个星期没起床的爷爷今天怎么……我满脸疑惑，忙去搀爷爷。刚走几步，就听到妈妈房中也有了轻轻的响声(奶奶因中风搬到隔壁妈妈房中)。爷爷一点点地移动脚步，手扶着墙。奶奶在妈妈的搀扶下也挪动着步子，慢慢地向爷爷这边走来，只见爷爷的脸上掠过一丝笑意，眼角的皱纹像鱼尾似的向两边舒展开来，两脚移动得更快了，无奈力不从心，身子向前一倾，差点摔倒，我一把搀住，爷爷脱开我的手，扶着墙喘着气，仍不停地向前挪动着脚步。

　　奶奶苍白的头发已稀疏无几，中了风的身子也在颤抖着，她望着爷爷，眼里噙着泪花，嘴唇在不停地微微颤抖着，轻声念着：“老头子，老头子……”奶奶双手用力向前伸着，爷爷也伸出那双苍老的饱经风霜的手，依旧挪着步子。

　　近了，更近了……两双手终于握到了一起，此时此刻一切尽在不言中，千言万语，万语千言，一世的深情都浸在这牵手之中。妈妈背过身拭去了泪水，我也泪流满面。

　　微风中，夕阳余辉映照下的墙壁更加美丽。爷爷和奶奶只是紧握着手，任泪水在流淌。远处飘来清晰的歌声：“因为牵了手，来世还要一起走……”

　　爷爷和奶奶就这样站着，似两尊亘古的雕像。他们牵着手度过艰苦的岁月，历经几十年风风雨雨，一直到白头。

　　夕阳无限好，尽管近黄昏。

　　大一的时候，我由于对大学的生活适应不过来，我的计算机课程是不及格的，这对于一个新生来说无疑是一个沉重的打击，我当时是非常的沮丧。我觉得自己很笨，为什么我会不及格呀?可是，当我回想起高考时，我却是一个胜利者，因为我可以考上大学呀，相对于那些没考上大学的人来说，我还是可以的。所以，在此后3年的大学生活中，我就再也没有不及格的课程了。在座的各位呢?你们也可以说自己是胜利者，因为你们也跟我一样在读大学，至少曾经胜利过。

　　在高中的时候，我就想成为一名土木工程师，在经过三年的寒窗苦读之后，我也选择了土木工程这个专业，虽然这个专业学习压力大，课程多，考试不及格的人数也多，甚至毕业率也是很低的，但是我还是坚持三年了，因为我有这个信心我能够学好这个专业，去完成自己的建筑工程师之梦。筑梦之路，这是一条充满荆棘的路，在这条道路上有许多人走向成功，但是也有很多人半途而废，不是我们没有能力走完这条道，而是我们不相信自己可以走完这条不平凡的路。在这条道路上总会有一个声音劝说我放弃，但我不会去理会他，因为我相信，总有一天我会走到道路的尽头。

　　这就是自信给我的一种力量，让我有信心开开心心的过好每一天，努力做好每件事，真心的对待身边的每一个人。

　　吴有良是吴家唯一的儿子,父母双亡,靠叔婶操持家业。这年秋天,吴有良进京赶考路过河源县的青石山,被山贼打劫,钱财散尽。天色渐晚,饥寒交迫,却身无分文,只有到城里去借住一宿,翌日再作打算。吴有良到达城门口的时候,城门已经关上,正要转身,一辆马车在城门口停了下来。

　　马车窗帘打开,里边是一个面容和善的老头,微笑地看着一筹莫展的吴有良。此人是河源县的首富,人称米老大。米老大刚从城外的米店回来,等候守城的士兵给他开城门。吴有良连忙走近马车,深深地朝米老大作了一个揖,问是否可以带自己进城。米老大看着满脸愁容的吴有良,点头示意让他上车。

　　米老大和吴有良一路聊着,米老大是行伍出身,特别敬重读书之人,听说吴有良是秀才,心里甚是欢喜。没过多久,马车就在一座很有气派的府邸门前停了下来,大门的匾额上写着遒劲的两个大字:李府。吴有良这时才知道车里的老头原来是威震一方的河源首富米老大。米老大邀请吴有良进府做客,吴有良受宠若惊,恭敬不如从命。
