仙人掌的家乡是沙漠，那是寸草不生的一片荒漠。它为了减少水分蒸发，亦为了作阻止动物吞食的武器，毅然将自我美丽的枝叶变成了一根根令人畏惧的刺布满全身。它为了生存，放弃了自我的美丽，但命运却仍不肯放过它。可是对于这些困难与挫折，它从不怨天尤人，而是默默承受，并勇敢地去克服。当太阳火辣辣地扫视大地时，它坚强的经过了太阳的检验，当月亮出来了，刺骨的寒风游戏在这一片土地上时，它也毫不退缩依旧挺立在天地之间。最终，它成功了，它在那里生存下来了。日复一日，虽雨水严重缺乏，可它却绿如往昔。它虽然不美丽，但却在我心中留下了重要的地位。

这句话专门是为蜡烛而作的。

这使我想到了一个故事;主人家里既有电灯，又有蜡烛。电灯很高傲，总不可一世地嘲笑蜡烛，也看不起蜡烛，因为自我比蜡烛更亮，更有用。可是，有一天突然停电了，整个世界都处于一片漆黑之中。在黑暗中，主人想起了那个蜡烛，并点燃了它照亮了家里。蜡烛在照亮别人的时间里，一点点被黑暗吞噬。许久，蜡烛消失了，只剩下一桌雪白的泪痕。电灯此刻才明白，原先蜡烛是那么伟大，宁愿牺牲自我，而去帮忙别人。
