学好音标是学好英语的前提条件,学好音标对未来的英语学习是一件一劳永逸的事,音标基础的好坏决定了一个人的语音、语调。我们应认真抓好音标教学,使初中生人人都能认识音标,读准音标,能够看音标读单词,拼写单词。教好音标,让学生打下良好的基础,对提高学生的听力水平无疑会起到事半功倍之效
一、认真教好音标,严格把好音标关
教师在教学中,或许是时间的限制,或许是认为音标不是教学的重点,就忽视了音标教学,学生的读音只是靠教师的领读、模仿、听来学习的。这样学生即使当时听了,会读了,也能读对,可是对新学习的内容,下课后,或时间一长,就忘了。所以学生靠领读、听、模仿是难以掌握读音的。为了让学生读音规范、正确,尤其在初一年级的英语教学中,教师在课堂上对要学习的内容进行编排,把音标教学穿插在整个英语教学中,使学生掌握音标,能通过音标学习单词,保证读音的正确性。当然也离不开课外学生自己的努力。音标教学是初中教学的一个重要内容,有了正确的读音,才能为以后的英语学习打下坚实的基础。
二、从学生的学习实际情况,由浅入深。
在完成字母教学和所有音素的基础上,在重读闭音节和重读开音节中,从5个元音字母的发音入手,引进发音教学最基础的规则。通过反复不断地比对和讲解。使学生能够熟练掌握读音规则,达到耳熟能详、见词读音的境界。我们这么做的主要目的是使学生能够掌握单词构成与单词发音的连接关系,并通过记音标来发音从而很好的记忆单词。同时,在这一阶段的教学中我们还要注意逐渐向学生介绍单词的音节和重音的基础知识。
教会学生按音节读单词音节教学虽然比较简单,但对初中学生的英语学习非常重要。一是因为词型变化的认识受音节的认识的直接关联,两者是互相联系,互相作用的。如动词、现在分词、过去式、过去分词,名词第三人称单数、名词复数,形容词、副词的比较级以及最高级的变化规则。二是因为学生对所学词汇的正确拼读和科学快捷牢固的记忆也是由音节的划分决定的,对于出现的比较长的词汇,我们教会学生正确划分单词音节,并按读音、音节组合、读音规则来记忆单词,效果特别明显。在音节教学时,我们按照先教音节类型再教音节的划分的顺序进行教学。初中英语初始阶段存在大量的单音节词,利用这些词进行音节教学有直观、明了的效果。当然,音标教学最重要的是教会学生拼读。拼读中应改变按字母排列顺序逐个字母拼读的惯例,最好领学生按音节和读音规则拼读。对于单音节词,学生容易读,也容易记住,但对那些双音节或多音节词,学生在朗读时,还是有一定的困难,这时,可以通过划分音节,把一个较长的单词划分成“小单词”,这样学生读和记就容易多了。
三、重视培养学生听力理解的技巧与良好的听的习惯
在语音教学中,提高学生的听力不是一时半会儿就能做到的。在日常教学中。,教师要用英语组织教学,要是加上必要的手势、表情、简笔画等,学生的注意力会更加集中,想办法去听懂老师的话;充分利用与教材配套的材料,如录音带、同步听力练习册及目标测试中的听力练习等,要坚持随教学进行训练。
教师还要对学生进行听力技巧训练,这是提高学生语音和听力理解水平的有效措施。要教会学生听音前注意略读捕捉信息,即要快速浏览习题,捕捉一切从题面上得到的信息,听时要边听边记,强化记忆,记录时要有重点,有技巧,听句子回答问题时要把题干、问题有机的联系在一起,听对话和短文时,要抓主旨大意,切忌偏重两个词而忽视全文。同时要帮助学生纠正不良的听力习惯。
