二、教学目标:
1 能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词:children’s day, new year’s day, also, christmas, people, had, went.
2 能听懂、会说、会读单词和词组:dragon boat festival, easter, may day, mid-autumn festival, spring festival, relative, didn’t=did not, delicious, favourite, dress up, a moon cake, popular, beach, a race, dumpling.
3 能听懂和会说、会读日常交际用语 :christmas is coming, my favourite holiday is halloween. what’s your favourite holiday?
4 能听懂、会说、会读和会写句型:when’s…? it’s in… what do people usually do at\on…? they … did you …last…? yes, i did.\no, i didn’t.
5 了解字母组合oo在单词中的读音。
6 会诵读歌谣it’s spring festival again.
三、教学重、难点:
1 能听、说、读、写本单元的四会单词和句型。
2 能用英语谈论节日里所做的事.

五、教学过程
step1:free talk
t: what day is it today?
s: it’s…
t: which day do you like best?
s: …
t: many students like saturday and sunday. because we can play games、read books, we can do something we like, we don’t need to go to school. they are holidays.
(to teach the word: holiday)
t: do you like holidays?
ss: yes!
t: me too. today let’s learn some holidays. (板书课题)
step2:presentation and practice
1 课前安排学生预习有关节日的单词,为学习新课作铺垫。
t: do you know some names of holidays?
first let’s look at a picture and listen to a song. then guess what holiday is it.(放一段happy new year的音乐,学生感知节日)
teacher shows the card and teaches the new word: new year’s day.(板书)
let’s read the words together……
s: new year’s day.
t: but in our china how we call it? look at a picture.
teacher shows the card and teaches the new word: spring festival. (板书、学生跟读)
教师问 what do the people usually do at spring festival? 教师自答 they usually…… (运用所学词组,让学生理解句型what do the people usually do?的意思,再向学生进行提问)
t: what do the people usually do at spring festival /on new year’s day?
s: they ……(ss answer.)
2 t: i have 4 things here. ( rice dumplings, moon cakes, easter eggs, pumpkin lanterns) what holiday we eat or make them?( ss can answer it in chinese.)
to teach the 4 holidays: mid-autumn festival, dragon boat festival, easter, halloween.(课件出示相关内容,板书单词,学生跟读,在教授每个节日后,运用句型what do the people usually do at/on……? they……让学生进行操练。)
3 t: i still have 3 pictures here. look at them and what do you think about them. what holiday is it? you can tell me in chinese.
teach the new words: national day, children’s day, may day.(板书,学生跟读)
4 practice: a game
t: now we learn a lot of holidays. this time let’s play a game and guess what holiday is it?
逐步出现单词,学生猜单词
